Each Sunday we have a roommate dinner. I was dreading this in the beginning, because if you know me, I don't cook. I'll make bake brownies and thats about it. I have been wanting Southwestern Shepard's Pie for a while. I thought I would try and make it for everyone. I had never made it myself before but it is an extremely easy recipe. So, I whipped it all together, stuck it in the oven and my roomie Kirsti comes home from Choir practice and springs on me that our FHE dad is coming for dinner. Oh, hm, OK. He is a little on the different side, but with my kind and loving heart, I let him come and eat with us. :) He made biscuits and carrots to go along with the main dish. When it was already, we sat down and ate some grub! It was DELISH!
Looks awkward but it was so good! :)
After dinner, Kirstie and out FHE dad did the dishes and Michael and I went outside. It was such a nice day!
The ground was uncomfortable so we took our couch cushions and sat outside for awhile. We played eye-spy and people watched. Haha!
I started to crave brownies and so we went inside and I made some. I had been texting someone from my science study group. He was asking me some questions about this seminar we have to go to. So, I told him I just made brownies, so he came over and had a couple then had to go meet some friends.
I forgot to take a pic when they came out but they were amazing and just how dad likes them. GOOOEEYY!
They were so good! After we ate some brownies one of our FHE brothers came over and played Imaginiff with us. And that was the end of my day. I just had to blog that I made dinner. I know you all are surprised! It was a good day! :)
P.S. I made a quesadilla the other day in the oven. I went to my room and forgot I had it in he oven and this is how it turned out. I thought it was funny! It kind of went down before I took the pic but ya, just a random thin I thought to share!

Southwest Shepards pie is excellent! Sounds like you had a great day! Plus you didn't have to do dishes!
YOU MADE DINNER?!! And didn't die. You go girl. You know there is no turning back now or saying you can't cook. :)
(There was one grammar problem and one spelling issue.)
