Toes!

I know this may be a weird post but this is something that makes me super happy and I need to share it! I'm pretty sure that the ones who see this blog know about my toe issue through the past few years. Come to it all it's nasty toe fungi and it just won't go away. Enough about the details, I had my left big toenail taken off in August because of the nastiness and hurting and it has now almost grown back fully!! You can see it in this picture!

I always have my toes painted and haven't been able to paint that one because well, I didn't have it. I was redoing my nails the other day and thought, a little over half grown back is enough for me, so I painted it and it looks kinda funky but I feel so good that it is painted and I don't have to feel so self conscious about it if I wear sandals or have to take my shoes off somewhere! I am so ecstatic about this, you don't even know!

To put a plus on this, who doesn't like sparkly/glitter nail polish?!! I love it and I found it in pink, even better!   It is a little hard to take it off and time consuming, (I'm sure there is an easier way out there) but on the bright side it doesn't ware off as fast as regular polish! You all should try it! It's fun!

P.S. Don't stare at the picture for too long because my feet will look even more ugly than they already are! Aren't my toes so funky and uneven!

Should I or Shouldn't I?

What do ya'll think? Should I cut my hair this short again or keep growing it long? I am torn because I love changing up my hair, like I am dying to color it and cut it but I just don't know if I should. I know I would for sure NOT get the straight across bangs again. Maybe. IDK! AHHH!

This was back in high school. Maybe 5 or 6 years ago.

This is how long my hair is now. I do like it but am not good at doing anything fancy with it. It doesn't curl well, I suck at braiding my own hair. So going short would mean I really don't have to do much with it and could get cute headbands, bows, and clips to wear...hmm

Vegan WHAT?!

OK, So on Netflix I watched a documentary called Vegucated. It was very one sided. It only showed the cons of eating animal meat and such and put an A+ + + + on the whole vegan diet and only eating  legumes, veggies, fruit and nuts. No dairy and for sure no meat. I know I am a picky eater but I do love beef and chicken. I think I would go a little cray cray without it. But then again watching how they slaughter the animals and how mistreated a lot of the work is makes me sad. I have watched a couple documentaries on the slaughter process and it just makes me sick to my stomach and I cried. Seriously?!

I do not think I would ever give up meat but I was thinking how interesting it would be to go vegan/vegetarian for at least a week or maybe two. I don't know a ton about that lifestyle but I am so interested in learning about what they eat and why. I know having veggies, fruits, legumes and nuts should be in our daily diet anyways but JUST to eat those and no dairy or meat just gets me. I think it's crazy!

Anyways, just some thoughts I had and a possible experiment coming my way! I asked Zeke if he wanted to go vegan with me for a week and he turned me down real fast! LOL! We will see after some more research.

Anyone want to go vegan with me?! :P

P.S. Documentaries are amazing! Ya'll should check some out! I am addicted to Health and Nutrition ones!

Valentines Day

The past three Valentines have been with Zeke! We have never really done much because it is really a stupid holiday! Just have dinner and maybe a movie. Last year, we actually helped his friend get flowers for this girl he was interested in and that took forever because it did it RIGHT on Vday and the flower shops were packed with guys, yeah I was basically the only girl there. It was pretty funny. Zeke was on call but another RA was working and she demanded on taking the phone, so we got Chinese and that was it. Haha! I don't mind though as long as there is food. This year he had classes and work all day so when he got off we just decided to do dinner and a movie. We ended up with just dinner and went to spend it with Beth because she was on call. It was fun! But the thing about this was Zeke ordered me flowers and they were suppose to come during the day, they never came. So we spent about 2 hours waiting for someone to answer the phone when we were with Beth, once on the phone the person helping us didn't speak English well, AT ALL and so that took like 20 mins and in the end the guy hung up on us..So we called back and the lady said they would send then the next day...never came. So we called again and talked to a supervisor and she gave us  a full refund, $20 gift certificate and a re-delivery...never came. And again called and finally on Monday they got here after calling like 4 times and everything. Now lets see if the refund and $20 gift card happens...In the end the flowers got here and I love them!

Pretty right?!! I know! I've never really been a fan of flowers but when someone sends them to you, it has to put a smile on your face.

Sweet or Sour?

Yay! I changed up my blog! I'm sure you are wondering about the title..Well, as some of you know I can be sweet but also sour. Maybe more sour than sweet most times but hey, I'll work on it. Also, sweet and sour because I love candy, any kind of candy of sweet and sour. As I have mentioned I am majoring in health but am completely addicted junk. I cannot help it, if I try to quit, I go nuts and get in bad mood. Literally an addiction. Hopefully, once I go through more schooling, it will instill in me that I need to change my ways. But until then...EAT UP! Haha!

Anywhos, I am still in SLC and I really am having a good time. Having a long distance relationship sucks especially when we go to different schools and my messed up semester track deal. Our friend Beth has been so good to me and letting me stay with her. She is the best and wants to hire me as her live-in maid...ha ha ha  no thanks but it is a compliment. Mom, you have taught me well...well taught me to be OCD! I will be going home soon though and will miss Zeke and the friends I have made here. I will also miss Jet, the cutest puppy ever! I use to be afraid of dogs but once Zeke got Jet, that has for sure changed and I freaking love this adorable pup! Here is a picture of the Bubbaloo!

Cute, ain't he?!!

Making a come back...maybe!

Well hello there everyone! I have not been on here since May! I just haven't done much that is blog worthy. I have just been in school. Just another random bit..I have not had a haircut since May either...just a random thought! I am in dyer need of one!

Anyways, I am on break right now from school and loving it! I went home for Christmas and spent time with family and just sat around. I came to SLC to see Zeke and his family for New Years, his family left a few days after the new year. Since being here I have tried to eat a little healthier, I seriously have an addiction to sweets..candy, brownies, cookies...whatever has sugar in it. It is bad and I have tried to take it down a notch and I just crave the sweets bad. I will get in a bad mood if I don't get sweets during the day. NOT GOOD! Most of you know I am a health major and so I kind of am a hypocrite because I try to help others with their health, I give tips and things I have learned but then I do the opposite. Zeke has wii fit plus and so I have been using that and my arms and back KILL TODAY. Boxing is my favorite thing to do and I wish I could just take a boxing class. Such a good workout! Zeke has been trying to become healthier and so we have tried to not eat out a lot and try to get in workouts. I love it!

I recommend to everyone...GET HEALTHY! If you're not into exercising much, start with a day of just walking around the block then the next day do two blocks and soon you will be running miles and miles! Make sure you are always moving. Yes, of course you can rest and sit during the day but sitting for long periods of time is hazardous to your life. MAKE SURE YOU MOVE! I also encourage if you have children, get them moving. Go outside with them, play ball, tag, water fights...anything that gets them away from video games and junk food. You are the parent so be the example to them to be healthy. Teach them about which foods are healthy for them and what aren't. You shouldn't rule out all foods. Putting a restrictions on foods can only make you crave them more. Moderation is the most important thing when consuming foods. I start to think of children not only because I am wanting to go into being a child's dietitian but also because of www.biggestloser.com. They are addressing childhood obesity this season for the first time. I think it is super important to keep your children moving and eating right. We all want children to have a happy and healthy childhood and if they have that they will have a healthy adulthood.

The U.S. is the fattest country in the world. Reason? We eat more than we should...obviously but there is a reason it is known as mindless eating. Here is a video describing mindless eating. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UxKmgQZU6Hw&feature=relmfu Makes you think, eh?!

Think about what you do! GET HEALTHY! GET FIT! ...JUST DO IT!

Long weekend fun!

Pretty much nothing has changed since the last time I blogged. Although, it was Memorial weekend and some festivities happened.

First, I was planning on staying in Rexburg for the long weekend but Friday rolled around, my class was cancelled and so I slept in a little bit. Once I was awake, I decided that I would get caught up in homework. I'm a little behind...just a little though not too bad. You think that happened? NO! All day I tried to start homework but I pulled up all assignments, read through them then never really did any. I watched a TV show on my computer for hours, ate food and was in my sweatpants all day! Awesome, right?! NO! This was making me even more behind in homework. Everyone was leaving for the weekend. It was such a dead zone, it was kind of creepy and giving me anxiety. Since Zeke was in NYC for the weekend, I had a random thought to go visit Tyana. It was a last minute thought. I asked my roommate if she wanted to go with me just so she didn't have to sit here all weekend alone. She said she was going to think about it. Some words were exchanged, not rudely but maybe a little harsh. She left and came back and decided she didn't want to. This frustrated me to no end! She sits here every weekend doing nothing. We talk all the time how we need to go out and do things, so I had thought of this and she turned me down and made up tons of excuses why and we kind of got in an argument. I called Tyana and told her everything while my roommate was still in the room, hoping she'd change her mind but she didn't. After this, I said somethings I think hurt her feelings a little and she left the room and didn't talk to me the rest of the day. Talk about tension in the apartment. Whatever I said, and looked for a ride down to Logan. No one was going there so I hitched a ride from a girl going to SLC, she dropped me off in Brigham City and Tyana picked me up there. The ride from Rexburg will be another post so stay tuned for that.

Once in Logan, we pretty much were in the car all day and now that I am thinking back I really cannot remember what we did that day but we went multiple places. Sunday we went to church, then made Creamy Chicken Taquitos for Linner. Check out the recipe on Pinterest! They were SO GOOD! We also watched We Bought A Zoo. I had seen it before but they hadn't. They both cried through it. If you haven't seen the movie, see it! It is a good one. Throughout the day, played with Illiana and just laid around. Monday comes around and we had a little BBQ at their house, took pics and then took Carlos to work. After, Tyana and I got our haircut. I was suppose to be leaving an hour after this, so we went to eat some Gelato and headed to the mall to kill some time. I got a call from my ride saying they would be a little late so, we took our time shopping, in which I bought shirt and shorts and also got a great deal on a skirt that was on clearance. It had been marked down a few times by this time it was $7 with an extra 30% off...I got the skirt for $5!! Love it! After, headed back home and waited a little then headed to Brigham City to wait for my ride...wait for the ending in the next post!

It was a great weekend! I love leaving on the weekends. Like Tyana said, why stay there when you have nothing to do besides homework. Haha! :)

Sorry, this was a random post and long but it was my weekend! :) :)
