Fourth of July Weekend

For the 4th I went down to Salt Lake. It was a chill weekend. Zeke was on call for all of it besides Monday. During the weekend we just had a couple BBQ's on campus with some of his friends. Then on Monday, we had another BBQ on campus and Keelie, Kynsey and their friend Keri came to the BBQ. They were visiting some friends in Provo and came up to Salt Lake to have lunch with me. It was fun. Then after the BBQ they left and Zeke, Me and Zeke's friend Ryan all went and walked around the Arts Festival they were having down the street, got some frozen yogurt and walked around town. It was fun! Then at 10PM we walked to the park down the street, Sugarhouse Park where they lit off the fireworks. The show was alright but could have been better. It was maybe 20 minutes long. The show in Tacoma is so much better and seems a lot longer. Oh well! It was fun, nonetheless. After the show we were all hungry so we went to Arbys, then back to campus. I'd have to say I miss Tacoma's freedom fair and fireworks show.

I went home on Tuesday. I know this might sound ridiculous but I went back to SLC on Thursday and left Saturday because it is the last time I would see Zeke until I come back for school. So, on Friday we went kayaking in South Jordan. His friend Ryan works at the community center there. When they first built the center there was no lakes or anything around and so they man made one and the members can use it to go kayaking, sailboating and paddle boating. Ryan invited us to go and we got in for free. It was a lot of fun. Afterwards we went to this place called Blue Fish. Ryan wanted sushi. I sucked it up and went. I ate some noodle and steak dish. It was pretty good. The next day Zeke and I went to breakfast at Ihop, had a Target date, then we went to Hogle Zoo and were there for about 3 hours in the 90 degree weather. It was so hot but luckily they had many mist stations throughout the zoo. That night I came back to Rexburg.

This monkey was so cute. I missed the best part though. My camera was too slow to turn on. But when Zeke put his had to the window, the monkey put his hands on his. It was soo cute! We think he wanted to play with the string that was on his bracelet. We tried for another good 5 or 10 minutes to get him to do it again but this was all he did.

In this cave thing, they had these peek holes and so we looked through them at Skunk and some prairie dogs!

So over the span on the 4th weekend, every time we went to a store, Zeke bought me oreos. I love them so much! We got three different kinds; Creamsicle, Berry Burst and Oreo blizzard. They are all SO good! Then the summer edition is just blue cream but taste like regular oreos. There is also mint flavor but I'm not such a fan of the mint, only in DQ blizzards do I like mint flavor! :) Yay for oreos!!

Freedom Fair fireworks are only about 20 minutes. And I think they get worse every year. hahaha Way to have some fun!
