Viewer Discretion is Advised

A few years ago I had injured my toes; bruising, dead nails fell off, grew back. We are positive it is from my shoes. I have weird feet in the first place; very narrow, skinny feet and long toes. It started when I was running. I use to run for fun, not a lot but often and my toes started to bruise. Few times I stopped running but went back to it after they "healed". I quit running so much and also bought new shoes. I had only ran a couple times with the new shoes because my toes started to hurt again. In December they were swollen and bruised and in January the scar tissue or whatever it was, was growing out of the bottom of my nail. It continually got worse. We never went in because I wasn't on any insurance. After registering for classes at BYU-Idaho and a long process, I'm on the insurance. So, I go to the Podiatrist and he said that the root of the nail and actual nail weren't connected, I was wondering why the nails weren't growing. LOL! My left toe was worse than my right. It wasn't connected at all on my left toe and on my right toe the nail was about 50% connected. So, he removed the nails, so a healthier, new nail can grow back. If he hadn't done that, then a thick, yellow, curvy, nasty nail would grow back and have fungus and all. He said it will be about 6 months to a year for the nails to grow back fully. And if this keeps occuring then an option is completely removing my toenail. Oh yay! NOT! I took some pictures for all to see and understand what I am trying to say here! Have a looksie!
